Summer river camp for South Indian students from May 29
Mysore, May 2 (UNI) The Regional Museum of Natural History here will organise a eight-day summer river camp for students of South India from May 29.
A release here today said the primary objective of the camp was to expose 11th and 12th standard students to field-oriented nature programmes, natural heritage of rivers and problems faced by people living along the rivers.
Ten students each from Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu would take part in the camp and trek along river Chalakkudy in Kerala, starting from Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary.
The Museum would would also organise an exhibition at Cochin on June five, the eve of World Environment Day, the release added.
