Shiv Sena holds anti-Pak protest over Doda massacre
Varanasi, May 2 (UNI) Shiv Sena activists today staged anti-Pakistan protests here over yesterday massacre of Hindus by terrorists in Doda and Udhampur districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Led by district chief of Sena student wing Varun Singh, the saffron activists staged demonstrations at the Bhikharipur crossing this afternoon and also set afire the Pakistani national flag.
Raising anti-Pak slogans, the Sainiks also burnt in effigy Pakistan and demanded the UPA government at centre took action against the terror camps operating across the LoC.
Meanwhile, top Muslim clerics have also condemned the massacre of Hindus in J &K and recent killing of communications engineer K Suryanarayana in Afghanistan.
Talking to UNI, top Muslim cleric Mufti-e-Banaras Maulana Abdul Batin termed the twin incidents as ''inhuman'' and condemnable and urged all communities to maintain calm.
Burqa-clad Muslim women had taken to the streets here yesterday against the brutal killing of Suryanarayana.
