Purulia, Bankura borders with Jharkhand sealed before polls

Burdwan, May 2 (UNI) The borders of Purulia and Bankura with Jharkhand had been sealed before the fifth phase of West Bengal Assembly polls tomorrow.

The Bardhaman Superintendent of Police said here today, ''West Bengal police have been deployed in bodering areas of Burdwan.'' Nearly 45 lakh voters would decide the fate of 108 candidates in 26 seats of six Bardhaman sub-division, including industrial belts of Durgapur and Asansol.

Para-military forces had already been deployed in all the polling stations of these districts.

Bardhaman, Birbhum and Murshidabad will go to the polls tomorrow.
