Kochi, May 2 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today adjourned a PIL seeking to ban announcement of exit poll results before completion of polling in all constituencies, to consider after the summer holidays.

A Division Bench comprising Justice K S Radhakrishnan and Justice K T Sankaran said as a similar petition was pending consideration before the Supreme Court, no order could be passed urgently.

Shameem Poovath, a UDF worker in Mattanchery, moved the High Court in view of the conduct and announcement of exit polls by certain TV channels regarding the Kerala elections.

According to the petitioner, conduct of exit poll was not permitted by law and announcement or prediction of election results would influence the free will of electors of other constituencies.
