PFAADB to hold parallel sessions
Hyderabd, May 2 (UNI) The People's Forum Against Asian Development Bank (PFAADB), comprising 97 social movements, struggle groups and NGOs from across Asia, will be organising parallel sessions against the ADB Annual Governor's Meet (AGM) scheduled to be held from May three to six in the city.
Speaking to the newsmen here today, Member of PAADFB Souparna Lahiri said the plenary sessions on 'militarisation and development' and 'no to displacement' will be held from May three to six here.
Narmada Bachao Andolan leader Medha Patkar and other eminent speakers will be among the 400 international and 2000 Indian delegates participating in the programme.
Ms Lahari said the forum would be organising a massive rally on may five here, in which 10,000 people would participate to protest against the ADB polcies.
Left parties would also join hands with the forum to oppose the bank's policies which could destroy development of Asian countries, she added.
