Notices issued to Hisar MP Jai Prakash, DC

Chandigarh, May 2: Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice M M Aggarwal today (May 02, 2006) issued notice for July 13 to Congress Member of Parliament from Hisar Jai Prakash, Deputy Commissioner and district police chief among others after the preliminary hearing on a writ petition.

The petition filed by Hari Ram Bishnoi of village Bir Chikanwas, district Hisar alleged harassment IN the hands of Jai Prakash and village sarpanch Avtar Singh, who were allegedly putting pressure on him to leave his cultivated land.

The petitioner submitted that the land belonged to the state government but was being cultivated for over 40 years by him.

He alleged that since he was a supporter of the former chief minister Bhajan Lal, he was being harassed.
