Mumbai, May 2 (UNI) Dismissed police constable Sunil More, who was convicted by the Sessions Court on April 3 for raping a teenaged collegian in a police post at Marine Drive on April 21 last year, today moved the Bombay High Court, challenging his sentence.

The petition stated the grounds for challenging the conviction as 'the only evidence considered by the Sessions Court were those provided by the girl'.

Also, the petitioner claimed that the DNA and medical reports that were in his favour were not taken into account by the court while passing the judgement.

More was arrested for allegedly raping the girl after she was brought to the police post on the pretext of recording her statement.
