Mass upanayanams to mark Sankara Jayanthi

Tirupati, May 2(UNI) The Tirupati "Brahmana Samajam" will perform free, mass ''upanayanams''-sacred thread ceremony here tomorrow, as part of Adi Sankara Jayanthi celebrations.

"Brahmana Samajam" Secretary C R Seshagiri said today the "mass upanayanams" will be conducted in the presence of Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswati at the Kanchi Puduka Mandapam in the presence of Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi, he added.
