New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) He greeted the gathering with a proper folded-hand 'Namaste' and signed off saying 'Shukriya' and in between, Australian pacer Brett Lee revealed his love for Indian culture and the wish to act in a Bollywood flick along with Amitabh Bachchan.
In the capital on a promotional campaign, Brett Lee swapped his flannels for an ethnic Indian attire -- a gorgeous black kurta, cream coloured dhoti and a sandal to perfectly dovetail with the rest.
And often he dropped a Hindi word or two, much to the surprise of the mediapersons.
It took him barely 48 seconds to rush to the backstage and return in a new avtar and asked how he managed it, the dashing bowler said, ''I was telling myself 'Jaldi, Jaldi Jaldi' and here I'm before you.'' Brett Lee seems to have found a liking for Indian clothings and last time too, he was here in a sherwani.
And though dhoti-kurta may not be the ideal gear to bowl with, Lee tried that too when he obliged the shutterbugs with mock deliveries.
''I have picked some Hindi words and I enjoy the culture of the country. I have been here time and again and still it feels great every time you come here,'' said the Indophile Aussie.
And he did not hide his love for Bollywood either.
A familiar face in ad-films, Brett Lee was asked if he would give it a thought if offers come from Hollywood or Bollywood and he replied, ''I don't want to act in Hollywood. Rather, I would love to act in a Bollywood movie and that too along with Amitabh Bachchan, the Big B.'' ''I have met him in Singapore and he seemed a nice person,'' Lee added.
Asked about his band Six and Out, Lee said, ''Though we are not coming up with any album, but the band is doing well. We have not planned anything for the time being but you never know.'' UNI AY PDS BD1558
