Hisar, May 2 (UNI) A candidate of B Sc final year of the Kurukshetra University, who appeared in the Sikh guise to smuggle in the examination hall with a mobile phone under his turban, was caught red-handed while using the cell for copying.

In a well-planned manner Anil, a private candidate and a resident of Hansi, grew beard and started wearing turban some six months before the examination and sent his photograph with a turban to the Kurukshetra University for appearing in the examination under a new identity.

He used the mobile with earphone to contact his friends outside for getting answers during the examination being conducted at the Dayanand College.

However, someone who knew about Anil's plan called up the college Principal R K Tomar and spilled the beans. Dr Tomar caught him red handed with the mobile, earphone and wires.

Anil tried to run away but was nabbed by the college employees on the main entrance. In the melee, his turban fell down and his original identity was revealed. An Unfair Means Case (UMC) was registered against him.

While leaving the college Anil threatened the college employees who had overpowered him with dire consequences. Dr Tomar said he had informed the local police about the threat given by Anil, urging them to take action against him.
