Former BNCCI President passes away

Kolkata, May 2 (UNI) Former President of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry(BNCCI) Amitabha Palchoudhury died here yesterday.

He was 78 and is survived by two daughters.

Associated with the tea industry and sophisticated machine tools for over five decades, Mr Palchoudhury had served as the Chairman of Siliguri Tea Auction Committee and Calcutta Tea Traders' Association.

His younger daughter Nayantara Palchoudhury is the present BNCCI President.
