Fifteen killed, several injured in bus accident
Thane, May 2 (UNI) At least 15 people were killed and several others seriously injured when a bus, in which they were travelling hit the parapet of a bridge and fell into the Chena river in Chena village in Thane district this noon.
According to police sources, the bus was coming from Bhayander to Thane, when it met with the accident at 1245 hours.
Fifteen bodies have been removed so far and rescue operation was on, the sources said.
Fire engines and a team of doctors have rushed to the site which was also visited by Thane Mayor Rajendra Vichare.
