Exremists blow up Panchayat Bhavan

Giridih, May 2 (UNI) Proscribed CPI(Maoist) extremists blew up the Panchayat Bhavan at Kukra village in the district last night, Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh said.

The extremists, however, did not harm any villager, he said.

In the same village two days ago the extremists blew up a police picket.

Mr Singh said a search operation was launched in the area to nab the extremists. Two companies of para-military force and a police were conducting the operation, he added.
