Explosion in north Gaza causes casualties -medics

GAZA, May 2 (Reuters) An explosion rocked the northern Gaza Strip today, causing casualties, Palestinian medics said.

The medics said the explosion appears to have been caused by an artillery shell. The Israeli army said it was checking into the reports.
