DGP refuses permission to police unions to hold public meeting

Ahmedabad, May 2 (UNI) Director-General of Police and Chief Police Officer of Gujarat today refused permission to certain leaders of constables and head constables to hold a public meeting here on May 5, who wanted to form a state-level police federation.

The permission was refused because the application for the meeting was incomplete and also because of the prevailing law and order situation, said a statement here today.
