CRPF flag march in city
Chennai, May 2 (UNI) Over 500 security personnel from Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Karnataka Armed Reserve Police today took out a flag march in and around Washermenpet and Pulianthope areas of the city today to instil confidence among the people for the May 8 polls.
The march began in Oolakothalam and it went through Stanley Nagar, Tondiarpet, Washermenpet and reached Pulianthope. The CRPF assured people that adequate security would be provided for them on polling day, and they could exercise franchise without any fear.
Similar marches would be organised in different parts of the city till May 6, police sources said.
