City Police to file an add chargesheet, make Rana main accused

New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) Delhi Police will file an additional chargesheet in the Sher Singh Rana jail break case, making him the main accused.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sema Mani would hear the case, which was at the stage of examination of evidence of the other four accused in the absence of Rana who had been declared an absconder, with all the accused present in court on May 17.

Rana, accused of killing dacoit-turned-MP Phoolan Devi, had escaped from the 'maximum security' Tihar jail with the help of his 'friends' who 'got' his 'custody' on a fake warrant on February 17 2004.
