BJP demands Sheila Dikshit's resignation

New Delhi, May 02: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today demanded the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit saying the power and water woes of citizens was multiplying under her leadership.

People are suffering on account of 4 to 12 hours of load shedding due to the government's repeated failure in fulfilling its electoral promises, senior party leader from Delhi and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Vijay Kumar Malhotra said.

Despite assurances to the contrary, the situation on the power and water fronts was going from bad to worse, he said, charging the government with repeatedly making a ''hollow'' claim that it would be able to meet the increased summer demand.
