Bajaj sales up by 29 per cent in April
New Delhi, May 2: Bajaj Autos Ltd, two-wheeler major, today announced a growth of 29 per cent in its sales having sold 2,12,123 units in April 2006 as against 1,65,045 units in the corresponding month last year.
The motorcycles sales of the company, which launched a new model-- Platina recently, were up by 37 per cent with 1,88,518 units sold during the month as compared to 137,858 units in the same period previous year.
Bajaj Discover registered sales of 66,137 units during the month, while the sales of the Bajaj Pulsar touched 32,700 units.
The sales of three-wheelers stood at 21,159 units as against 17,453 units in the same period last year, recording an increase of 21 per cent.
Bajaj Autos Ltd's exports increased by 67 per cent at 31,715 units from 19,007 units a year earlier in the corresponding period.
