Hyderabad, May 2 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Aviation Corporation, set up by the state government to take advantage of the aviation sector which was in resurgent mode in the country, is in the process of acquiring a Fixed Wing Executive Jet and a Twin Engine Multirole Helicopter.
The helicopter would be equipped to undertake emergency medical services, Home Department advised assigned services, search and rescue, natural disaster relief, fire fighting, underslung load carriage and VIP duties, an official release here said.
Evaluation of tender bids by three manufacturers were in the process, it said adding that tenders for the jet would be called shortly.
The APACL, which would control aviation assets of the state government, would put to use the assets gainfully in charter services when untilised by the state government, the release added.
