Aditya Birla group's cement production, despatches in Apr increases

Mumbai, May 2 (UNI) India's leading cement major, the Aditya Birla group, has posted healthy increase of 8.53 per cent and 6.08 per cent respectively in both the production and despatches of cement for the month of April, stated a release issued here today.

The cement production in the month stood at 26.76 lakh tonnes as against 24.66 lakh tonnes in April last year, while despatches rose from 24.77 lakh tonnes in April last year to 26.28 lakh tonnes in April this year.
