ADB activists slip thru security, distribute pamphlets

Hyderabad, May 2 (UNI) Notwithstanding the heavy security activists of the 'People's Forum Against ADB' (PFAA) and Green Peace entered Hitex, the venue of the Asian Development Bank's annual meeting beginning tomorrow and distributed pamphlets opposing the Bank's entry into India and Asia.

The PFAA pamphlet said like the World Bank, ADB has become the custodian of private investment, promoter and protector of corporate interests and profits.

Green Peace in its pamphlet said ADB should decide whether to continue to fund climate change or change the course and drive the solutions that would protect and foster Asia's most vulnerable communities.
