Vijay Kumar 12th in 25m Rapid Fire at World Cup Brazil
New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Commonwealth double gold madallist Vijay Kumar finished a disappointing 12th in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event at the World Cup in Resende, Brazil.
Vijay shot 285 (97,98,90) in Stage I and 291 (100,98,93) in Stage II to total 576.
Another Armyman Pemba Tamang also shot 576 but finished 13th due to a lesser last series as compared to Vijay's.
The third Indian in the event, Ramkishan Yadav finished 14th with a total shot of 575, according to information received here today.
The gold in the event was won by Oleksandr Petriv of Ukraine with a score of 779 (581+198), while the silver went to Alexei Klimov of Russia with 778.8 (580+198.8) and Marco Spangenberg of Germany won the bronze with a shot of 777.5 (582+195.5).
