Uma's party not to affect BJP: Chouhan
Mandala, MP, May 1 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said forming of a new party by expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti will not have any adverse affect on the BJP.
Mr Chouhan, who was here to take part in the mass marriage ceremony of 246 couples organised under the Deendayal Antyodaya Mission at Sijhaura village in this district yesterday, told reporters that the BJP will not be affected even by some leaders joining Uma's outfit.
Admitting that there was power shortage in the state, he said work on power projects was being carried out speedily. ''The state will get immense relief in power sector after the projects started in a year or two.'' On the influence of the GGP in nearby districts, Mr Chouhan said there was nothing wrong if a political party worked in a democratic manner. However, undemocratic behaviour will not be tolerated, he added.
