Suryanarayan's body to arrive in Delhi today
New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) The body of Indian telecom engineer K Suryanarayan, who was killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan yesterday, is being brought here by an Indian Airlines flight this afternoon.
It will be taken to Hyderabad later in the evening.
The Indian Airlines flight IC 844, carrying the body from Kabul, will touch down Indira Gandhi International Airport at 1430 hrs.
The body will be received by representatives of the Union and Andhra Pradesh governments at the airport. It will then be taken to the domestic airport to be later flown to Hyderabad. The flight to Hyderabad, IC 839, will take off at 1840 hrs, state government officials said.
The Hyderabad-born Suryanarayan, working for a Bahrain company in Afghanistan, was abducted by Talibans on Friday and his body was found between Qalat and Ghazni, on the Kabul-Kandhahar route yesterday morning.
The Taliban had threatened to kill the hostage unless India withdrew all its workers from Afghanistan till 1900 hrs(IST time) yesterday.
