Suryanarayana's wife makes suicide bid

Hyderabad, May 1 (UNI) Hours before the body of telecommunication engineer K Suryanarayana, who was beheaded by Taliban militants in Afghanistan, was brought here for last rites, his wife Manjula tried to commit suicide here today.

On coming to know of a woman, claiming to be the second wife of the slain engineer, depressed Manjula allegedly consumed phenoyl and swooned, police sources said.

She was rushed to a near-by private hospital treatment in the Intensive Care Unit was being provided to her, the sources added.
