Suryanarayana's second wife ready for DNA test
Hyderabad, May 1: A woman claiming to be the second wife of K Suryanarayana, who was beheaded by the Taliban militants in Afghanistan, today offered to subject her eight-month-old daughter to DNA test to prove the deceased telecommunication engineer the baby's father.
After meeting the police seeking intervention for enabling her to attend 'her husband's' funeral, Ms Swapna said, ''I am ready for a DNA test on my baby to prove Mr Suryanarayana is her father.'' Ms Swapna said she married Suryanarayana about four years ago and he was the sole bread winner for the family.
She neither had financial support from her parents nor any assets to support her family.
Claiming that Mr Suryanarayana's family members were not allowing her to attend the funeral, Ms Swapna said she wanted to pay last respects to her husband.
