Sonia Gandhi pained at Vadodara incident, appeals for peace

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Congress president Sonia Gandhi today expressed pain at the loss of life at Vadodara following the demolition of a 'dargah' by the municipal authorities.

Ms Gandhi also asked the people not to do anything that would escalate the situation, according to a release issued by the party.

''My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the families of those who have lost their lives,'' the release added.
