Reliance Communication finds place in BSE Sensex
Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) Telecom giant Reliance Communication Ventures (RCoVL) has found place in the 30-stock 'Sensex' index of the Bombay Stock Exhcnage (BSE), according to the proposed changes announced by the BSE here today.
The Index Committee of the BSE, at its meeting held here yesterday, finalised the proposed changes in the BSE Sensex, and other indices such as BSE-100, BSE-200, BSE Mid-Cap and BSE Small-Cap indices, effective from June 12.
As per the changes, the RCoVL to replace energy leader Tata Power in the Sensex from June 12, 2006.
There would be a total 13 changes in the BSE-100 and 25 in the BSE-200, while BSE-500 will see 85 changes, the BSE said.
In the Midcap index, the Committee has decided to bring in new 18 stocks by excluding existing 14 from its basket.
Similarly, it would add 40 new scrips by removing 68 from the BSE-Small Cap Index.
All these changes would come into force from June 12.
