Rajasthan's Govt-aided institutions are on strike
Jaipur, May 1 (UNI) Thousands of teachers of government-aided institutions in Rajasthan have gathered here today to protest against the reduction in grants.
The aided schools and colleges in the state remained closed today.
Sayamsevi Shikshan Sanstha Sangh secretary Satyabrat Samvedi said teachers of state's 75 aided colleges and 1,265 schools are staging a dharna here to raise their demands.
Mr Samvedi said the state Government this year has sanctioned only Rs 107 crore for the aided institutions as against last year's Rs 550 crore. He added the aided institutions require at least Rs 150 crore to run.
