Rail blockades in Habra

Barasat, May 1 (UNI) Congress supporters today disrupted train services in Habra of the Sealdah section in support of their 24-hour bandh, protesting the clash with CPI(M) supporters late last night at Bawgachi in North 24 Parganas district.

Police today arrested two Congress supporters for allegedly forcing shopkeepers to close their shops.

At least 15 people were injured in the post poll clashes.

The injured were admitted to Habra state general hospital.

Senior police officers, including sub-divisional police officer S M H Mirza has rushed to Habra.
