Over 200 Kashmiri pacers enroll for trials by Srinath, Sekar

Srinagar, May 1 (UNI) More than 200 young Kashmiri fast bowlers have registered themsleves for the two-day camp to be conducted by former Indian pacers Javagal Srinath and T A Sekar, beginning here tomorrow.

Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Joint Secretary Imtiyaz Ahmed Zargar told UNI that more than 200 young fast bowlers between the age-group 15 to 20 years from the Valley enrolled themselves for the trials to be held at the Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium here.

He said the trials will now be conducted for two days instead of the earlier scheduled one-day camp.

''The camp would start tomorrow afternoon,'' Mr Zargar added.

The fast bowlers selected after the trials would be trained at the MRF Pace Foundation.

The camp would be headed by Srinath and Sekar, who is also the chief coach at the MRF Pace Foundation.
