Muslim women take to streets over Suryanarayana's killing

Varanasi, May 1 (UNI) Burqa clad Muslim women bearing placards condemning the killing of Communications engineer K Suryanarayana in Afghanistan, took to the streets in this holy city today.

The procession carried out under the banner of Bharat Vikas Sansthan saw Muslim women traverse through a major part of the city.

''Insaniyat ke hatyaro hosh mein aao, taliban hosh me aao, isaano be zulm dhana band karo'' the hard hitting placards summed up the anger prevailing among the Muslims over the brutal killing of the engineer fron Hyderabad.

The procession turned into a public meeting at the Azad Park in Lahurabir, where the speakers while condemning the act also handed over to the district authorities, a memorandum addressed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, demanding proper action by the Afghan government against the Taliban.
