Lt Gen Mehta replaces Srinivasan as new Director General

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) today announced the appointment of Lt General S S Mehta (Retd) as its new Director General.

He will be replacing Mr N Srinivasan, who will take on the new role of Adviser to the CII President R Seshasayee, and will operate out of Bangalore.

Gen Mehta served the Indian Army with distinction for over forty years.

The above change will come into effect from 11th May 2006.
