Kashmiri migrants demand legislation for protection of temples

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Various Kashmiri Pandit migrant leaders today urged the government to bring in a legislation for protection of Kashmiri Hindu monuments and religious places in the valley and the Shardapeeth in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).

The migrant leaders, at a meeting here, decided to launch a united front--the J and K Displaced Persons United Front-- to press the government for redressal of their grievances and create conditions for their return to the valley.

The meeting rejected as ''unfeasible and injurious to the community'' any demand for a separate enclave for Kashmiri Pandits and said entire Kashmir was their homeland, front spokesperson Subodh Mukoo said.
