Dacoits looted about Rs five lakh from trader's house in A'bad
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 20 (UNI) An armed gang looted jewellery and cash worth at Rs 5.5 lakh from a house of a trader at Sillod town in this district by threatening his family members early today.
The gang, armed with sword and sticks entered in the shop attached with the house of a trader Bhikchand Karnawat situated at Sillod town, at about 0330 hrs, by breaking open the iron channel door of his house from back-side, the police said.
The robbery threatened the family members on a sword point and snatched gold ornaments and looted cash and ornaments from the house kept elsewhere, police said.
Police have registered an offence against the unidentified dacoits under section 395 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
No one has been arrested in the case so far and investigations are on, police added.
