Jammu, May 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today condemned the massacre of 22 Hindus by terrorists at Kulhand in Doda district and Basantgarh in Udhampur district, saying ''humanity will never forgive these responsible for such barbaric and Heinous Acts.'' Talking to newspersons, he said these attempts will not waver his determination to bring out people of the state from turmoil. He said people have demonstrated their will during the recent by-elections and terrorists now feel frustrated and marginalised.

Mr Azad said such attempts will not be allowed to sabotage the peace process and it is the right time for militants to bid fare-well to arms and join the peace talks . He said the government was committed to protecting the lives and property of the people and no stone will be left unturned to bring the culprits, behind the Kulhand and Basantgarh massacres, to book.

Mr Azad also visited government medical college hospitals here and enquired about the condition of the injured, who were airlifted from Kulhand for specialised treatment. He interacted with the injured persons and issued instructions to the hospital authorities to provide all possible treatment to them.

Earlier, immediately after reaching here from New Delhi, he convened a high level meeting and took stock of the situation.

Chief secretary, Vijay Bakaya, Director General of Police, Gopal Sharma, principal secretary to Chief Minister Anil Goswami, additional Director General of Police, CID, Kuldeep Khuda, Divisional Commissioner Pramod Jain and other senior civil and police officers were present in the meeting.
