BJP downplays the formation of Uma's party
New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party today sought to downplay the formation of Bharatiya Janashankti Party by expelled BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti at Ujjain.
BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the party had read about the formation of a new political party where some party workers had taken part.
He said the new party will not make any difference to the BJP.
''A congregation of a handful of disappointed and disgruntled people cannot be an alternative to the BJP,'' Mr Javadekar added.
