Advani trashes Uma's claim of being real BJP
Neemuch, MP, May 1 (UNI) Senior BJP leader L K Advani today described as baseless, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti's claim, that her just-constituted Bharatiya Janashakti (BJ) was the real BJP.
''The BJ will not adversely affect the BJP and the public will decide which is the true BJP,'' he told mediapersons here as part of his 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra'.
On the reservation dispute, the senior leader said the Centre's UPA regime should first arrive at a consensus and only then would the BJP put forth its point of view.
''Religion-based reservation will only breed animosity and lead to serious situations,'' Mr Advani warned.
Condemning the massacre of 22 persons at Doda in Kashmir, he said premeditated terrorist acts forced the exodus of Kashmiri pundits from the Valley.
''Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is actively toiling for providing proper roads, adequate power and portable water,'' said Mr Advani whose yatra entered this state on April 25 via the Shahdol district border. Today, it entered Rajasthan's Nimbaheda.
