ACB raids Gujarat Cong VP's residence in Godhra
Vadodara, May 1: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today raided the Godhra residence of former minister and Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) vice-president Chandrakant Raulji and claimed to have seized ill-gotten assets to the tune of Rs 2.72 crore.
The raid was carried out here last night by a team of Vadodara ACB sleuths at the Congress leader's residence at Bhavdi area in Godhra town, ACB sources said.
Mr Raulji was a minister of state for Public Works Department from 1994 to 1998 under the ministries of Chimanlal Patel and Shankarsinh Vaghela.
The raid was carried out on the basis of the complaint of one Sharad Shah filed way back in 1998. Details of the raids were awaited.
