5 die, three injured in a road accident

Meerut, May 1 (UNI) Five people were killed and three injured in a road accident near Rithani village on Delhi-Hardwar highway in the district.

Police sources said two women, two children and the driver of the van died on the spot when their vehicle collided with a Sumo here last night.

The victims were returning after attending a marriage function.

The injured have been admitted to Meerut Medical College and Hospital.
