15 injured in post poll violence

Barasat, May 1 (UNI) At least 15 people were injured in a post poll clash between the Congress and the CPI(M) supporters late last night at Bawgachi in North 24 Parganas.

The Congress has called a 24-hour bandh in the area today.

The injured were taken to Habra state general hospital, where five people were admitted.

Senior police officers, including sub-divisional police officer S M H Mirza has rushed to the Habra area to maintain law and order following the violence.

No arrest has been made so far, police said.
