10 killed in road accident

Medak, Andhra Pradesh, May 1 (UNI) Ten people were killed when the auto in which they were travelling had collided with a lorry near Madiri Cross Roads at Kohiri Mandal in this district today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the auto, which was proceeding from Jahirabad to Sadasivapet, collided with a speeding lorry, proceeding towards Jaheerabad from Hyderabad.

Nine persons were killed on the spot and one died while being taken to hospital.

Two seriously injured were admitted to the hospital.

A case has been registered and an investigtion was underway, police added.
