Uma'a party not to affect BJP: Gaur

Indore, Apr 30 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Babulal Gaur today said the BJP will not be affected by the launch of his predecessor Uma Bharti's ''Bharatiya Janashakti'' party.

Mr Gaur told reporters here that the party would have suffered more damage if Ms Bharti remained in the BJP.

He said it was good that Ms Bharti has formed a new party.

Mr Gaur was made the Chief Minister as per the wish of his predecessor Ms Bharti, who resigned after a non-bailable warrant was issued against her in the Hubli rioting case.

However, Ms Bharti's supporter MLAs time and again demanded her reinstatement after her exoneration.

Later, Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan was elevated to the Chief Minister post.
