Tourist train engine derails

Coimbatore, Apr 30 (UNI) The engine of the Nilgiris Mountain railway derailed again today disappointing over 250 tourists near Kallar station,about seven km from Mettupalayam station.

Railway sources said the UNESCO States Nilgiris Mountain railway running between Mettupalayam to Ooty started as usual with a large number of tourists. Since the season has started there a large number of tourists are arriving to the hill station.The Driver immediately applied breaks to stop the train, no passenger was injured. They were taken in a bus to Ooty,the sources added.

It may be recalled that the same engine had derailed two months ago.
