State Govt committed to boost textiles sector: Patil
Sangli, Maharashtra, Apr 30 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today assured that the State Government will make every effort to boost the textiles sector since it had a tremendous employment generation potential.
He was speaking at a function organised at the Swami Ramanand Bharati Co-operative Spinning Mill in Tasgaon taluka of this district.
The first stage of the 7000-spindle capacity Swami Ramanand Bharati Co-operative Spinning Mill commenced operations today. It is planned to expand the capacity to 30,000 spindles at an estimated cost of Rs 51 crore.
