Basti, Apr 30 (UNI) Expelled Samajwadi Party leader and cine star Raj Babbar today alleged that development was evading Uttar Pradesh, except for Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's native Saifai village and Etawah district.

''The Uttar Pradesh law and order situation is in tatters, while unemployment and corruption have peaked,'' the national president of the newly-constituted Jan Morcha said, addressing a rally here.

He alleged the unemployment allowance as announced by the state government existed only on paper.

''The state is being run by a broker. As a result, the state government is not heeding the problems of the common man,'' Mr Babbar added.
