Rahul reminds voters to carry ID cards on voting day

Rae Bareli, UP, Apr 30 (UNI) Making a fervent appeal to the electorate, especially women, to ensure Congress president Sonia Gandhi's victory in the May 8 Rae Baerli bypolls, Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi today reminded people to carry their identity cards on the polling day.

Rahul especially urged women voters to support his mother and AICC chief at the hustings.

''Being women, I urge you to vote for my mother in large numbers,'' he said, addressing several public meetings here.

Ms Gandhi is seeking re-election from Rae Bareli parliamentary segment after she resigned her Lok Sabha seat on March 23 over office of profit controversy.
