Patients to get 26 identified drugs free: Nitish
Patna, Apr 30 (UNI) Reiterating the commitment of the state government to provide better medical treatment to the common man of the state, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced that 26 'identified' drugs would be distributed free to the patients in the government hospitals.
Inaugurating a child hopital funded by Mahavir Nyas Parishad at the cost of Rs 15 crores, Mr Kumar said outdoor patients would be given 13 kinds of drugs while those who were undergoing treatment in different government hospitals would be supplied 26 types of 'identified' medicines free.
Expressing his happiness over the new paediatric hospital, he said that even new born child of the oppressed section of the society would have the access of quality medical care. Cautioning the people to be careful for health, he said that 'health care' was more important than 'medicare'.
"With the active participation of the people, state government would be able to solve the problems of the common man and usher in a new era for development of the state," he added.
