No talks of Subrata joining Eveready as coach

Kolkata, Apr 30 (UNI) Contrary to the reports in a section of the media, former India international Subrata Bhattacharya is not joining as the coach of Eveready, at least for now.

Talking to UNI here today, Mr Bhattacharya said, ''There are talks on other matters, but not for becoming the coach of Eveready.'' ''No such talks have started between me and the club regarding taking up the coaching assignment,'' he said.

Eveready's Alokesh Kundu further confirmed to UNI, ''This is a baseless report. I dont know who spread this rumour.'' ''There is no such talk of Subrata taking up the coaching of our boys, at least for now,'' he said.

The cash-starved club is trying to hold on to the core team for the next season, with Anjan Nath carrying out the responsibilities as the coach.
